I started working permanently as University Lecturer of Statistics at University of Eastern Finland. I am positioned at School of Computing at Kuopio campus. My work involves a reasonable amount of research time and I am very happy about that.
I have experience from applications to health sciences and Bayesian statistics, modelling and missing data.
I am statistician currently working as University Lecturer at the University of Eastern Finland, in Kuopio, Finland. I defended my dissertation at the University of Jyväskylä on 24th February 2018. The name of my dissertation is ‘‘Statistical modelling of selective non-participation in health examination surveys’’. I have experience in particular with Bayesian statistics, analysis of missing data and register data. I am always interested in new challenges related to computational methods. Most of my research involves applications in the health sciences.

I have been working with Jani Miettinen and Reijo Sund to publish an R package for the register studies. The current developent version is the first to go publically available. You can download it from github. Remember to study the vignettes before running it!
